How it runs
Three steps, and then we stay.
The hard part of tutoring is not the first lesson. It is the ninth one, in February, when the syllabus is behind and everybody is tired. This is built for the ninth one.

Not whoever is free. Somebody who has sat your exact paper and cleared it: an IITian for the JEE sheet, an MBBS graduate for NEET biology, a postgraduate for the boards.

It started because
the schools shut.
The pandemic arrived in 2020, right on top of the unrest of 2019, and the quality of education in the Valley fell off a cliff. A handful of Kashmiri college students, home with nothing to do and a syllabus they had only just finished themselves, started teaching the children in their own neighbourhoods.
It avalanched. Within months the doors were open to the whole Valley, through online classes and home tuitions. Six years later that is still the shape of it: people from here, teaching people from here, in whatever format the week allows.
